General
The Going Beyond Assistance Fund (GBAF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides financial assistance to eligible HCSG employees experiencing unexpected hardship.
You can log into the HUB via OneLogin or by visiting HCSGHUB.com.
If you haven’t registered your account yet, please visit hcsgcorp.com/hubregistration for step-by-step instructions.
Registration is open to all site-level employees. To get started, go to the HUB and follow the on-screen prompts using the following credentials:
Username: Your Employee ID (EEID)
Password: Your Year of Birth (YYYY)

Grant Application
Employees may apply for assistance through GBAF.org, which provides access to the secure online application form. In some situations, someone may apply on behalf of an employee, such as when the employee is ill or unable to complete the application themselves. In the event of an employee’s death, eligible family members or beneficiaries may also be able to apply or receive assistance, depending on the circumstances.
Because the application process includes personal and financial information, applicants should be prepared to provide supporting details and documentation as part of the review process.
Yes. In certain situations, such as illness, incapacity, or other extenuating circumstances, someone may assist with or submit an application on behalf of an employee. In the event of an employee’s death, eligible family members or beneficiaries may also be able to apply or receive assistance, depending on the circumstances.
To be eligible for assistance, employees must:
• Have at least 6 continuous months of employment with HCSG
• Work a minimum average of 20 hours per week
• Be experiencing a qualifying unexpected hardship
• Provide supporting documentation related to the request
Meeting these requirements allows an application to be reviewed but does not guarantee approval.
In Progress: Your application has been started but has not yet been submitted.
In Review: Your application has been submitted and received by the GBAF team.
Pending Approval: Your application has completed the initial review process and is awaiting committee review and final determination.
Pending Notification: A decision has been made and a member of the GBAF team will be reaching out regarding the outcome of your application.
Completed/Closed: The review process has concluded and all application activity has been finalized.
Yes. A member of the GBAF team will reach out directly to review your application, discuss your situation, and ensure all required information and documentation has been received. Response times may vary depending on application volume and available resources.
You may begin the application process even if you do not have all required documentation available at the time of submission. A member of the GBAF team will work with you to identify any additional information needed to complete your application. Missing documentation may delay the review process.
Processing times vary depending on application volume, documentation received, and available resources. Applications are generally reviewed in the order they are received. Each application is reviewed individually and receives personalized attention throughout the process.
Throughout the review process, a member of the GBAF team will be assigned to your application. They will work with you to ensure all required information and documentation has been received and will provide updates as your application progresses.
Once complete, your application is submitted for review to a committee of nine HCSG volunteer reviewers who evaluate each application based on the circumstances presented, supporting documentation, and available funding.
No. Applications are handled confidentially and are only accessible to individuals directly involved in the application review process.
Applications are reviewed individually and decisions are based on multiple factors including the hardship being experienced, financial circumstances, supporting documentation, and available funding. Each application is evaluated on its own merits and circumstances.
Once the review process is complete and a committee decision has been made, a member of the GBAF team will reach out directly to notify you of your application outcome.
No. Donations are completely voluntary and are never considered during the application review process. Eligibility for assistance is based solely on qualifying circumstances, documented need, and established program guidelines.
If your application is not approved, you may still be eligible to apply again in the future. In some situations, additional documentation or information may be needed before a future application can be reconsidered.
Employees may receive assistance more than once; however, recipients must wait 12 rolling months from the date of their most recent grant before becoming eligible for additional grant funding.
If approved, grant payments are typically distributed within 2–3 business days following notification.
GBAF grants are not considered taxable income to recipients. However, tax laws can vary based on individual circumstances, and employees should consult a tax professional with questions regarding their specific situation.
No. GBAF grants are not loans and do not need to be repaid.

Donations
You can support GBAF through one-time donations, recurring monthly donations, payroll giving, fundraising events, and other special campaigns throughout the year.
Anyone can support the GBAF, including HCSG employees, family members, friends, vendors, and community supporters. Every donation makes a difference, regardless of size, and can be made as a one-time gift, recurring donation, or payroll deduction.

Every contribution helps employees and their families navigate difficult circumstances and reinforces our commitment to supporting one another when it matters most.
No. Payroll donations to GBAF are deducted from post-tax wages. Because donations are made directly to a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization, they may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual tax situation.
No. IRS regulations do not allow donations to be earmarked for a specific individual. All contributions are pooled within the fund and used to support eligible employees experiencing hardship based on established grant guidelines.
